"Started using the app last week. It was easy to pair my Galaxy S9+ Smartphone with my Polar H9 heart sensor and chest strap. I chose this app because it was rated the most accurate by a study published in March 2021 that examined 7 popular apps that measure HRV. The app is easy to use and the results are easy to understand. As the app collects more data over the days and weeks it gives you insights to manage stress and balance training and lifestyle."

"The light on my phone burned my finger! I tried it more than once....just to make sure I wasn`t doing something wrong. 3 fingers burned. Used Samsung s10+"

"(Note: I use a Garmin HRM-Dual chest strap sensor rather than the camera function.) The data presented is certainly interesting and I`m hoping it helps me to train and avoid the dreaded overtraining. The app itself is a tad bit basic and while all the data and functions can be found, I`ve found it`s UI somewhat wanting and a bit of a chore to delve into their various insights. Perhaps that`s good that they focus on the meat of their product (data analysis) rather than polish, though. Who knows?"

"UPDATE: Has got even worse, now won`t connect with my heart rate strat although every other available HRV app on Google Play does. To think I paid £9.99 for this app which doesn`t actually do anything anymore. Could some one from HRV4training please contact me to organise some form of refund."

"The app regularly takes a very long time to open. This is not ideal when you want to make a habit of take a reading first thing in the morning; I don`t really want to be waiting to start my day."

"Pretty glitchy for a 12 euro app, which is quite disappointing. Infinite zooming in graphs, when scrolling weeks I get multiple pop ups of the measurement message where I have to keep pressing cancel until it disappears. I find it odd that an app like this has the audacity to ask for such a big price compared to most apps when the functionality is not optimal. Yes the special measurement function and the research is worth a lot, but the app itself should also be working smoothly for such a price"

"Finger HR reader is poor. I have to do it so many times to get a good reading, I`m sure my HR spikes because I`m so pissed off."

"This worked well for awhile, but I quit using it last fall when I was injured. Now it won`t register after 4 plus days of input over and over as well as Uninstaller reinstalling. Thinking of whoop or oura. Frustrating."

"The app has severe problems with reading HRV from BT sensors. I have Scosche Rhythm24 but I can`t get valid measurment. The Rhythm24 works fine and it is 100% reliable when connected to Garmin devices(Fenix 5x, Edge 830, Edge 1030) so it is not the problem. Also ANT+ connection doesn`t work. (Note 10+)"

"I hate this app. It does provide some pertinent data but the app is clunky and I struggle to find my actual HRV measurements. Think about that for a second. I`m struggling to find my HRV measurements on app called HRV4Training! The measurement you can reliably get is a ``Recovery Point/Score.`` What does that mean? Who cares, it`s not HRV. Sure, HRV factors into this arbitrary measure but finding the HRV value is not available. Use EliteHRV instead."

"My issue with this app is the shear amount of technical jargon, yes the pretty graphs look great but they don`t help me make workout choices due to my lack of understanding... Surely a less complex cleaner UI would benefit most users."

"Haven`t had a problem with readings as others have, you just need to keep your finger still which isn`t that difficult. What`s missing is comments / info on what all the individual measures mean and what is good and why.. e.g. is a lower reading better than a higher one. Also why does the main screen show a number between 1-10 but the history doesn`t show this, only the individual measures. Also the colouring bar on the home screen was a little confusing. It`s a good app, needs polish."

"Update: sadly the app fails to capture ` optimum ` quality HRV on Pixel 2 running Android 11. It used do better on Oneplus 3 with Android 9 and perfectly on a Vivo running Android 6! It was a very useful app for gauging training load. But now unusable so rating 1 star in lieu of original 5 stars. Please do try on your phone before buying subscription. Developers are researchers in HRV, they try their best but I guess changing android platform is causing probelms."

"Really useful app. It will help prevent you from overtraining or simply just confirm if you aren`t feeling 100% to adjust your day and take it easier. Very happy with this purchase and have recommended it to clients/athletes in my field of Strength and conditioning"
