"I was pleased with it on my Android 8 phone, so updated to an Android 11 thinking it would be better. It is faster, but I have now lost the ability to choose a playback voice. Why is that? I would like to give a higher rating, but this new problem is a disappointment. The other problem with the app is understandable, as it can`t cope well with much background noise."

"This application greatly improves the experience of using the Google assistant. To start you have to record simple phrases that you say aloud. Then it unlocks the rest of the app`s functionality. I have found that using the assistant through this app makes it much more accurate at interpreting me. If for any reason your assistant can`t understand you I highly recommend the app! My only gripe is that you have to use the Google assistant from within the Relate app, maybe added in a future update?"

Project Relate is an Android app designed to help people with speech impairments be better understood in conversation, as well as when interacting with Google Assistant.
Project Relate is currently in beta. To use the app, you must first apply to participate as a tester. The application form is in the app. You may be accepted to join immediately, or you may have to wait.
Project Relate has 3 features: Listen, Repeat, and Assistant.
You teach the app to understand your unique voice and speech patterns by recording a series of audio prompts.
Once you’ve completed your recordings, Project Relate will learn to understand the way you speak better.
