"PROS: Excellent Oxford content. CONS: No “share” feature to select and look up words from other apps. Search functionality is very limited; there’s no full text, example or idiom search. The “smart`` search that seems to be happening only slows down the app and never comes up with anything relevant. Favorites don`t sync across devices. The interface has an adware-like appearance. In a paid app, I don`t want to see ``Invite Friends`` and ``Rate App`` on the home screen as if these were features for my benefit. The nagging ``rate 5 stars`` popup is especially annoying. I much prefer the WordWeb dictionary interface for which currently only the Chambers dictionaries appear to be available."

"Great dictionary, annoying app. It consistently lags when you type, so about half the time it skips the second letter, and the whole word is spelt wrong. For this price, it should be a simpler app that just works. Also a pop-up keeps insisting that you rate the app - so here you are - a 3-star review. Update - 2 stars because after reviewing it keeps prompting for a review."

"The word of the day sucks!!!!! Why is it randomly generated? I wonder who would be interested in knowing the name of a minor bone in the body, some archaic word, name of a remote village/town blah blah blah. I don`t understand why can`t it be curated? Surely this can be done"

"This wretched dictionary is a constant frustration. It lets the researcher down at least a quarter of the time, with even fairly common words missing. Where is ``bellwether``, for instance?"

"I love this app and love the Oxford English Dictionary. I`ve been using this app to write and find synonyms to add variety to my work. I can spend the whole just going through the dictionary. I recommend it, hands down."
