"I love genki books! I don`t need to create my own tango clips to review. I can now rely on this app. The app is good but still need some improvements. I hope you can also add the kanjis. Also, the UI is a little bit weird for first time users so I hope you can improve the UI designs. So far so good!. Thank you! :)"

"Very helpful flash card studying on the go. A fair price. I could see myself spending the same amount of money on a deck of flashcards to write them myself"

"Great for short daily vocab practice (which has been proven to be the best way to learn). The other reviewers seem to take this for granted. There is a shuffle mode if you actually take the time to look at the settings. This is much more convenient than real flashcards or using Quizlet which has too many errors. I trust the book and app since my Japanese teacher reccommended it. She helps me put together sentences with correct grammar structure. Arigatou gozaimasu Genki Vocab Cards!"

"Read some of the negative reviews... I think the app has been updated. I find it easy to use and worth it. Can quiz in either direction...just shows the English, or just shows the Japanese. Also includes sentence for context. Plus, it reads it alowed if you wish. Excellent aid to learning vocabulary, which I have a hard time with."

"The app is good for cutting some time from writing flash cards to memorize vocab for the class I take using the Genki books. The lack of flexibility to orginze my deck is frustrating however. Every time I would like to refresh the deck of unknown vocab I have to sift through all the words I know by heart or have no need to learn at the moment. They have split the chapters into sections however the don`t always split logically, say having the first section covering half of the nouns, then the second covering the second half of the nouns that just the い-adjectives. Over all positive but only if you`re willing to deal with sifting your deck each time you start studying fresh"

"First of all, i get why some people dont like this app. It is definitely a companion app to the textbook/workbooks, and it is intended to accompany a class based on those books. Now, if you are taking a class that yses the genki books, great. Get this app. It will help you study for exams without having to waste time making flashcards. Otherwise, maybe consider saving money to get a different app. There are flashcard apps that are free. Also, if you want to learn kanji, check out wanikani, it is awesome. You get way more for free. (But pay for high level studies) Basically, this app is for people with the books and taking a class. Otherwise, it is very incomplete and a waste of money. This app should really be free."

do?) and the card does not show the answer when you finish. Terrible! Do
not waste your money! I can`t believe this people make such bad app for

"Overglorified for the price. The IOS version is superior in every way which isn`t fair because we`re paying the same price. Please make this app cool like the ios version so we get what we paid for."

"Awesome app to work with the book. Worth to buy. First steps a little bit confusing (interface isn`t intuitive), better to see tutorials first. But totally recommended."

"This app is awesome! Before this i was using anki but i couldn`t find a suitable deck that had audio. Even when i found 1 there were problems with that deck. This app worked perfectly with audio. Also, they included sentences with the vocab so you can understand better. There`s images too. It`s a bit different from anki but you will learn to use it pretty quickly. It`s overpriced tho."

"I`m glad I ignored the bad reviews. This companion app is fantastic if you have the books. A few reviews just don`t know how to use the app. You can shuffle, you can get the English translation. Yes it is a bit overpriced, but honestly genki is the best way to learn Japanese and worth the money. This app makes that process a dream. It`s clear, simple and lines up with the books perfectly. It has English first or Japanese first, a practice and a test mode and a restore so you can test and learn."

"It`s annoying that the most important feature doesn`t work. In check mode, when you tap on the word, the meaning in the other language is supposed to be displayed so you can double-check if you really know the word. But this doesn`t work."
