I found some trees in my area and even placed a marker for a black walnut tree in a nearby park. Mobile friendly, easy to use, and has a simple design. "I find this very hard to use. The interface isn`t intuitive and the layout makes it difficult to read. I love the idea of the shared foraging sites, but I`m disappointed with my initial interaction. An FAQ section or How to Use would be great. I fumbled around for twenty minutes trying to find something in my area, and I`m in a great location. I`ll add my own forays when I have more time."

Suggestions: 1- make it so you can upload pictures instead of taking a
picture 2- make it so you can save a handful of locations and go to them
easily instead of typing the address each time (or making me turn on gps)
3- stop making it require microphone access, that`s creepy 4- option to
hide or otherwise differentiate sources that aren`t verified within the
last year. You get 5/5 when you implement these changes"

"Neat concept but for $5 this is missing some incredibly basic functionality, like pinpointing a location on the map through the list view. Instead I have to find what I want on the list view then go through EVERY unlabeled dot on the map to see where the specific entry is located. And if it`s going to scrape data from iNatrualist with a URL it could at least make URLs clickable."

Most people aren`t going to know which of the 6 different types of Fig trees (or which of the 4 different cultivars of Loquat) they`ve found. For this scenario, there should be a `Fig - unknown type` (or `Loquat - generic`) option. Otherwise, app works great. Deserves a higher rating."

Falling Fruit is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Boulder, Colorado, USA. All proceeds from sales of the app help pay to keep our servers online. We greatly appreciate your support in keeping the project online!
Our global map of edibles is not the first of its kind, but it aspires to be the world`s most comprehensive. While our users contribute locations of their own, we comb the internet for pre-existing knowledge, seeking to unite the efforts of foragers, foresters, and freegans everywhere. The imported datasets range from small neighborhood foraging maps to vast professionally-compiled tree inventories. This amounts to thousands of different types of edibles (most, but not all, plant species) across thousands of cities around the world. Beyond the cultivated and commonplace to the exotic flavors of foreign plants and long-forgotten native plants, foraging in your neighborhood is a journey through time and across cultures.
