"Absolutely dreadful. With device sitting still on table altitude jumps from -140m to 130m to 60m continuesly. When cross checked with accurate paper map grid reference is multiple kilometres out. Totally unacceptable."

"Shame about the compass. My phone is a Galaxy A3 (2016) and the compass is locked into a small arc. Odd as OS Maps seems to know which way I am facing. Edit. Downloaded the App again and it seemed to work for a minute or two but the compass quickly lost its bearings (pun intended, sorry). I have since improved matters by frequently recalibrating the compass in Google Maps. Not sure now whether it`s a hardware or software problem."

"Good design but the altitude reading is incorrect by 50m. i tried 2 devices."

"Disapointed... the compass does not work.. this may be phone related but the app should say ``not supported by phone`` and altitude is rubbish.. i am stood by the sea. It says i am at between 80m and 132m altitude (keeps changing).. it would be better to also provide lat/long as well as os grid then it would be much more useful."

"Silva compass is good, but 6 digit grid reference is a joke considering the accuracy of GPS. Needs at least 8 preferably 10 digit grid reference. Lat/lon is more accurate, but is not shared as a link to any map."

"It does what you expect it to, however I hoping it would give 8 figure reference rather than 6. I want to avoid installing what 3 words. A 6 figure reference doesn`t give me the accuracy needed if I were lost."

"Recommended by friend. Useless as the compass doesn`t move - not much help if I`m lost"

"Bit more in depth than needs to be in the basic form. Would be nice if they did a widget for the phone with grids too"

"Great potential but let down by clunky implementation. Sharing grid ref by messages doesn`t seem to work for me and by email requires a number of steps. Could be fantastic so I hope this aspect gets improved"

"The purple graphics on `what is an easting` are very difficult to see, they should be white. An 8 figure grid reference would be much more useful. Also, if you could convert the format to `Lat Long` it would make it a good tool for the emergency services using vehicle navigation systems which do not work on OSGB references."

"Average. The altimeter is always around 50m out. Because of that, I would not trust the coordinates. This could be an excellent tool but feels like a gimmick."

"Performs reasonably well as a very basic compass app with 6 digit map references. More thought on higher specs and integration would be needed to male excellent."
