"Great. Light weight. Lots of features. Good cell phone application. With a maximum of 48 Amps at 241 Volts, I can charge at 11.6 kiloWatts per hour on the rare occasion when I am in a hurry. Usually, I set the charge rate to 10 Amps to take all night and maximize battery life by charging slowly. To get 48 Amps continuous and comply with the US National Electric Code, a 70 Amp breaker feeds a 8`` junction box next to the charger with #4 guage wire spliced to a 3` #6 guage pigtail to the charger."

"App was easy to set up and connect to my Maxicharger Home. Seems to show useful charging statistics, though they disappear when it stops charging. If you leave the app for a few hours and reopen it, it will say the charger is offline and that you need to connect via Bluetooth. There`s a button to connect the Bluetooth, but when you tap it, it makes a click sound but otherwise does nothing. At that point you have to close and reset the app. After that, it seems to work ok again for a while."

So often have to adjust down from my absolute max (48 amps) versus starting from where it actually is, e.g., 6 amps. "It`s mostly okay, but the app cannot seem to use the NFC in my phone to activate the charger. Otherwise I haven`t had any issues. Just beware that if you want to control access to your charger with NFC, you`ll have to buy an NFC chip card to keep in your wallet."

Even the December firmware didn`t fix! Start stop suspend status is now broken due to a recent app update. Now instead of my charge time being suspended when my car is fully charged. The app now doesnt show completed until I disconnect the car from the EVSE. Not a deal breaker but bad coding/QA for sure. Maybe a fix is coming?"
