"Normally not a bad source of general news. However, they are becoming more and more option focused with stories. Will be canceling my subscription. Would not recommend this to anyone wanting an unbiased view on reporting."

"I love it and It definitely adds value to my life. This app summarizes the news I am interested in so that I can catch up with the latest info. Also, summary articles provide links if I want to get more info. It is the best news app I have used."

"Freezes constantly. On launch, it will give me the loading gif for minutes at a time until I shut it down, cycle wifi, then relaunch. If it launches cleanly, it will try to load yesterday`s `World in Brief` until I delete that. I listen to my podcasts while walking my dog: it freezes when I get beyond wifi range. Reload. Then (upon connection to 5g?) it freezes when the screen lock kicks in while in my pocket. If I hold it in my hand, it freezes when the buffer runs out. Pathetic."

"Latest version is taking this app in the wrong direction. This app used to be a clear and concise way of receiving a great amount of information about the news in a surprisingly short amount of time. Hence the name ``Espresso``, brilliant! However, this update has brought along faff and bling that has made the experience worse. You have to scroll, swipe, tap, and navigate more pages to actually find the information. Don`t follow other news apps, they`re bad. Be you, be Espresso again!"

"Use to be 5 stars but this new version only gets 2. Missing features that we can no longer look back to previous editions. Also can`t share the quote anymore - sad to spoil a good app. I am thinking I`ll stop my subscription now."

"There is no Google Cast functionality and after 8 minutes of playing the podcast the app often stops at random. The content is excellent."

"While the content remains great, the latest update of the app no longer allows landscape mode. This is fine for phones, but makes it very useless for tablets."

"Update Apr 2022: would be really great if we could review all the questions for the daily quiz on a Friday, the old version let us review part days` content but I can`t see how to do this. Easily digestible summaries of regional events to help you keep up to date."

"Still good, but I much preferred the early version in which you could roll back to editions you missed, didn`t have the silly quiz and crossword cluttering it up, and kept arts stories for Saturday."

"Mew app for me. Have 1 pertinent question. Whst are you billing my credit for? If that occurrs after some type of premium upgrade, please make that clearer. I don`t want to speculate nor surmize your meaning. And I would prefer to choose the premium options. I know space is limited, but granting some comfort to those spending would help sales. (Or, I may be wrong and you don`t care.)"

"If you subscribe using Google pay there is no ``password`` to sign on to Espresso. So when it stops working, there doesn`t seem to be any way to connect (no password and one is required). So the only option is to cancel the subscription. Ah, progress..."

"The region setting is gone, so now I have to wait until evening in Indochina to read the morning news. A bit pointless really. The previous interface was more intuitive."
