"Can`t believe I forgot to rate this! I don`t tend to buy apps, so It`s one of the few apps I ever bought. I used to use this to make my phone a speaker before I had a headset for my computer. Worked like a charm! (And it still does, of course) If you need a speaker for your PC and all you have is a phone, this is a great option. The free version also works the same, just with a watermark that says ``soundwire`` every 30 minutes, and maybe some features locked. One of the best purchases I`ve made!"

Only issue is, trying to setup multi-room system. Two androids: ZTE Z981 ZMAX PRO and ZTE N861 Warp. I got them to sync twice changing buffer size at different sizes because them at the same wouldn`t sync. Eventually a few minutes later they fall out of sync. Please Help. It`s not a big issue atm, but when a party arrives would be nice to have music in each room instead of one system being turnt up all the way! So far good sound performance with paid verson. Will give 5 stars if issue is addressed. PC is Lenovo G50 cabled to Linksys EA6700 and all devices are in a 3 foot radius for testing Thanks, Jon G"

I features multicasting using the port numbers for each VLC media player program. You can use it to remotely listen to your WiFi internet radio receiver by plugging in the line out or headphone output jack to the line input of your computers sound card. Same goes for connecting your AM-FM tuner or ham or short wave radio receiver to remotely monitor audio within the WiFi network. DESCRIPTION
This is the SoundWire full version. SoundWire lets you stream any music or audio (``what you hear now``) from your Windows or Linux PC to your Android mobile devices. Use it as:
- A remote speaker or wireless headphones
- A way to listen to music and movies from your computer anywhere around your house, or further over cell networks
- A wireless extension of live audio from your PC-based music system
SoundWire does audio mirroring (audio cast). You can use any music player on your PC or laptop like Spotify, YouTube, or iTunes and stream the live sound over WiFi directly to your Android device.
This is the full version of SoundWire. It enables unlimited Opus audio compression, can handle up to 10 connections at the same time, and has no ads or interruptions. It also has a special Pro Mode to set and display buffer latency precisely in milliseconds.
SoundWire has low latency (audio delay), which means it can even be used to listen to the soundtrack of a movie or YouTube video while you watch (**Note you must adjust the buffer size in app settings for low latency). There are other uses too... SoundWire can work as a baby monitor or listening device with a computer such as a netbook that has a built-in microphone. Hook up turntables to your computer`s line input and stream a live DJ set to another part of the house over WiFi, or anywhere else over 3G/4G (additional network setup may be needed for 3G/4G).
