"So I recently lost my first membership because of losing all income, and was a bit frustrated with how many ads are on each video. Typically 18 or more, on a 50 min. video, but I still enjoy the content. With the most recent update, all I can see are ads, and they layer over top of each other. It doesn`t matter what it try to watch, I will hear the sound of layered ads, and 1 image, and I have gone through 8 sets before giving up. I check for an update every day, but the website does the same"

"i don`t normally write reviews but this is literally THE WORST app to watch stuff on- if campcamp was on anything else i`d choose that over this app ANY DAY. the only reason this is a 2 star review is because is has some great shows. there are ads every 7 minutes and a lot of times two ads play at once and mess the whole app up and i have to reset it. the ff/rw sucks because every time i go to clean my screen it skips forward/back as well."

"This is ridiculous. I got a first membership on an iphone and no longer have access to that app store account because i switched to Android. i cant cancel through itunes either. You would think since the card on it is expired it would be easier but no. My purchases are empty too. YOU CANT EVEN DELETE THE ACCOUNT WITHOUT RT APPROVAL and you have to cancel First before they can delete it. Even though every other thing i subscribed to through iphone let me even with a subscription. Im trapped here."

"With this latest update, downloads don`t work at all. It`s a greyed out screen, no thumbnails, and shows all videos about 3/4 watched. Will not play any of them. Nor can you delete any of them, for example after its been watched and you no longer need it taking up space on your phone."

"No communication or fixes since the big update that was supposed to improve the app months ago. There`s no way to get rid of the overlay on videos, playing videos from my watchlist doesn`t work at all, and when you click on bug support nothing happens (oh the irony). I had no issues with he app before, and now for the sake of adding Chromecast support, which never should have been taken away in the first place, they broke the rest of the app."

"Background play no longer works for first members, even though it`s still listed. Play still works in picture-in-picture mode, however the pause/play button do not work in picture-in-picture. Often when I close the app the progress of my video is reset to the start of the video (or podcast). It boggles my mind that auto-play in this app works in reverse chronological order, so that if you`re watching a show using autoplay you end up watching it from the most recent to the oldest episode."

"I really, REALLY waited to comment on this, but how has it been 4 months and no word on Background Play? It`s a core feature of FIRST membership and the app update broke it. And now, the button to submit bug reports doesn`t even work on the app. I listen to podcasts at work and without background play, there isn`t much of a reason to use the app. In fact, these last few months I have been using YouTube instead. As a 10+ year RT fan, this is just disheartening. Seriously, please fix this soon."

"While this app is decent, it has more issues than bonuses. First, there are way too many ads, You try to watch a show and there are like 3-4 ad breaks however it doesn`t show 1-2 ads, instead it gives you 3-4 ads per break. Second, an issue I have seen alot is ad phasing, what I mean by this is when an ad plays there is a good chance that a second ad plays at the same time cause everything to break, if you choose to listen to said broken ad, the problem carries over into the video."
