"I was so excited to see this app and that it lays out every step needed to complete a task. However, I cannot afford 7$ a month (sad, I know) I wish there was a truly free option. I`d even take the occasional ad over having to pay a monthly fee!"

"Good concept. Needs some improvements to be truly useful. Needs option to input the ACTUAL condition of the item(appliance, etc). Not just the age of it. Some things need a little more than routine maintenance."

"BAM! Wants a credit card before any chance to test it. A huge turn off. $60 a year? This app is doomed."

"The premise of the app is great, but the $5.00 a month subscription seems hardly worth it. Coming from consumer reports, a one time fee or free with ads or even a free with some features removed would be something I would consider, especially after getting to try the app. Without signing up for the free trail and being locked into $5 a month, you are limited to one appliance. A new developer or studio I can see having a paywall, but not a subscription for consumer reports, a long standing compan"

"Waste of time and space. Seriously, who wants to be uploading pictures of the refrigerator?? I wanted an app that would let me create projects and record details and tasks..... Service people in their contacts.. last time contacted etc. Here`s a clue consumer reports, nobody wants to upload pictures of their refrigerator! Walking in the kitchen is enough."

"$4.99/mo ($60/year) is too expensive for this app, considering I already track all this stuff for free in my Habits app and Google calendar. I`d pay no more than $4.99/year. Honestly, I`d expect the app to be completely free, and then make their money on a commission when I hire a handyman through them to knock the items off the lists they make."

"Looks good but why am I not eligible for the free trial? I`ve never used the app before, have only just downloaded it for the first time."

"Mostly a good concept. Lacking some items I would love to see: pool maintenance, hot tub maintenance, fish tank, etc. There is a lot more stuff I would like to schedule. Maybe add a custom scheduler that we can set ourselves for items like these?"

"Come on consumer reports, when are you going to be replaced with a publically accountable government agency?"

"Promising but $5/month is a hard no. We all have too many monthly bills already and the app isn`t really doing all that much other than reminding you to do more work and spend more money. Throw some ads at me or charge a set fee for the app. You can keep your monthly charges!"

"This app seemed really cool but it`s not a free app. To add anything and actually use it, it costs money."

"I really wanted to like this, but the app is buggy and the notifications are poorly set-up. Half the time when I log in it can`t fetch the tasks. The notifucations just say ``Rengagenent`` rather than telling you what the specific task is. E.g. I dont need a notification for something like wipe down dishwasher door seal. Would also be good to be able to schedule notifications. Since I would imagine most people are doing things on weekends, a notification on a Monday may be pretty useless."

"As others have complained.... You get to add 1 item and then you must subscribe. CR has responded that you get 90 day trial and the fee is necessary. No problem. I object to the lack of transparency. I read about this in the editors column in the magazine, took the time to find and install the app, added one item and boom! Must subscribe. Shame on CR, HUGE on promoting transparency, for not stating upfront the terms of the app. It felt tricky. I uninstalled it and posted this as a protest."
