"Uses outdated information to measure nutritional value of food. Still recommends very low saturated fats and low fat in general as well as moderate salt. We know now that sensible fat intake is perfectly healthy and saturated fat is not the enemy we thought. We also know that salt consumption has no bearing on blood pressure. You`d be better reading Food for Life by Tim Spector."

"Like barely anything even comes up, almost everything I scan has no information so what`s the point?"

"Seems great. But once using and adding pictures and information one finds that this program may well give the worst rating to quite natural and proven healthy food like duck breasts or legs in their own grease, while giving a good rating to so-called healthy food loaded with lectins and other natural but quite unhealthy ingredients or molecules. Another point is quite cumbersome off-line use. Better use your eyes and brain to save time and health when shopping."

"None of the scanned products was in the database. If you have to add everything yourself app doesn`t work for you, you work for the app..."

"Great initiative. As this apps has really impacted some customer behavior and the food industry especially in Europe, is there a way to also to evaluated how eco friendly is the packaging ( plastic really able to be recycle or not) maybe this would help to change mind of packaging industry"

"Great premise, shame it`s unusable. As soon as you open it the camera/scan function lags for a few seconds then the app crashes and closes. This has happened repeatedly, so I`ve uninstalled it."

"Interesting concept, and lots of useful information. The user interface is a little confusing initially, and when you scan a product, you have to find that product in your scan history to get more details about it (or I am missing something in the confusing and clunky interface). But the clear grading of products makes it easy to complete a grocery shopping trip without having to read a bunch of labels if you are buying products you have not bought before."

"I like the Yuka app better because of the overall grade and the quick and easy explanations on additives, but Open Food Facts is a more open system where everyone can edit & improve product information, irrespective of the country /language (for example Yuka does not cover Dutch products)."
