game was rebalanced several months ago. The Germans are now tougher around
the 2 furthest landing zones, and the game plays more like the real battle.
Around Arnhem, your airborne troops will do well just to survive. (Tip: you
actually have to march them away from the objectives to relieve the
pressure.) Around Nijmegen, you should survive, but only if you focus on
moving south to link up with the ground troops asap. A good challenge with
Joni`s usual well-thought-out mechanics."

"This is a regiment/brigade-level simulation of Market Garden, and V.3.2.2.8 fixes many earlier problems. Specifically, the Germans have gone from mostly sitting in place to aggressively attacking the corridor, raising the challenge significantly. Not the best in the series, but it just moved up the table."

I may well be in a minority, but I just do not like the direction Joni is taking and for the first time will have to delete one of his games. I am very disappointed. I doubt I will buy another of his games, unless he changes direction. Sorry. Operation Market Garden 1944 is a turn based strategy game set on the European Western Front during the Second World War. From Joni Nuutinen: by a wargamer for the wargamers since 2011
Operation Market Garden was a risky Allied attempt to shorten the end of the Second World War by using three separate groups of airborne forces to suddenly capture multiple bridges to pave the way for a 100-kilometer armored attack to seize the German industrial heartland east of Arnhem. American and British paratroopers without a direct supply line had to depend on highly unreliable airdropped supplies until the Allied spearhead reached them. Thanks to poor and ignored military intelligence, the true strength of the German forces in the area was not taken into account when the final, fatal decision to carry out the operation was made. Can you prevent what historian Cornelius Ryan called ``the last great German victory of the war``?

+ AI: Instead of just attacking on direct line towards the target, the AI opponent balances between strategic goals and smaller tasks like encircling nearby units.
+ Settings: Various options are available to alter the look of the gaming experience: Change difficulty level, hexagon size, Animation speed, choose icon set for units (NATO or REAL) and cities (Round, Shield, Square, block of houses), decide what is drawn on the map, and much more.
+ Tablet friendly strategy game: Automatically scales the map for any physical screen size/resolution from small smartphones to HD tablets, while settings allow you to fine tune hexagon and font sizes.
In order to be a victorious, you must learn to coordinate your attacks in two key ways. First, as adjacent units give support to an attacking unit, keep your units in groups in order to gain local superiority. Secondly, it is rarely the best idea to use brute force when it is possible to encircle the enemy and cut off its supply lines with clever maneuvering.
