"Fun and frustrating, Ouroboros King is a fun spin on roguelikes and chess, reminiscent of chess online evloved a much loved flash game of the armor games/ kongregate era, it balances interesting unit against original chess pices with availability and a fun upgrade structure. But the Achilles hill of this great game is the lack of conformation screen for a draw, daily i lose runs to a simple miss click and on mobile where moving your hand wrong is easy, this flaw is infuriating. Still fun tho."

"Games fun and I enjoyed it. But infinity mode isn`t what I thought it would be. Access to infinity mode comes to an end if you lose. And you lose when you run out of rewinds. Also, progression comes to a stop once the story has ended and you enter infinity mode. Gold becomes useless, no access to the store, no access to other units, can`t upgrade current units. Kind of defeats the purpose. You become stuck with whatever you have when completing the story."

"I like it a lot. The pieces are very thoughtfully designed, I especially like the troll and the dragon. The AI is... Sometimes it`s really good. It doesn`t really know what to do to win the match. I just won a game where I had nothing but a king and an egg, the enemy`s viking just followed my king around for a bit, ignoring the egg even though it taking it would have won the match. Once I hung my king, the viking just moved away, so I just forked it with the king and won the match."

"Fun game! Found it through Northern Lion`s stream. If you`re used to regular chess, being able to see pins/forks/trades seem to be the most important thing. Beating all 3 witches at 100% difficulty is really hard. But if you can roll a bunch of rooks/catapults/royal guards + a prince or gorgon it`s doable. I wish there were incentives to use other pieces though. Maybe achievements for beating a run with a certain piece? Also discrete difficulty levels instead of a slider would feel better."

The Ouroboros King is a chess roguelike game where players must free the Kingdom of Thessalonia from the Coven across different timelines. Advance through a procedurally generated map, fight chess skirmishes and improve your army with novel chess pieces and relics. Discover synergies between pieces and relics to perfect your builds and enjoy the depth of chess tactics. After beating the main story, replay it with extra difficulty options or fight in an endless gauntlet in infinity mode. The game also features a practice mode that can be used for single-device multiplayer.
