"Well... Its just an straight path, you actually cannot decide and if you dont take the exact correct decisions you have to start again. The first one felt more dynamic and free. This one even asumes things that you suposedly have done on the first game that probsbly you didn`t and feel forced. Only play it if you really miss the connection you felt for Taylor on the first game but its not going to make you feel the same."

Structurally, a CYOA works much better if you don`t have to backtrack so far that the story`s momentum is thrown off. This has way more failstates than the first game, and the checkpoints and Fast Mode aren`t fast enough to get you back where you want to be in the story. You end up rereading certain text too many times, without clear enough clues as to what you missed early or what you need to change."
