"They really should have added a small trial period so you dont waste $5. No discernible way to lower your characters stress which they can die of for some reason and every time someone dies you`re next character is again at the lowest rank it`s impossible to move up. Though I do enjoy the random events Fun game in concept poor execution."

"I enjoy this game considerably. I`ve only managed to get to the rank of Equites (I think they`re called), and it`s intriguing how some of my runs go considerably worse than others. Meanwhile, some times I`ll run a surplus of 150 each month for a year, and it makes victory much more rewarding. My biggest criticism is the uncontrolled births. Unfortunately, Household costs make it extremely difficult at a certain stage. I also want to be able to choose which child I become."

"If you add military and wars and like a map to conquer more random events and basically turn this into a roman Crusader Kings game OMG this would be the best game ever like PLEASE Dev PLEASE keep with this game and improving and adding to it. Then suddenly, I go from making 50+ a month to -40. This is a very frustrating part of the game since I would like to stay away from the easy mode. I just dont get where the money goes. 🤷🏽♀️"

However, you will get inheritance from dead family members and buy a lot of farms cuz u make lots of money. You`ll soon get millions and next generation you`ll also get millions and you`ll continue to grow the money and get more inheritance so once you play enough you`ll just stay rich."

I overall can appreciate this game but it frustrates me more than the $5 price on the game. Good concept but you have a lot of work to make it more enjoyable to play. Overall 3/5. This game is worth a dollar or two at most in it`s current state."

"Let`s say you have it set for everything to pop up instead of clicking in it- if the event happens to be the one where you get to pick to steal an animal, the game crashes. (e.g. can`t click ``next month`` when the are character-related pop-ups, can still scroll background view when an event pops up, etc.). also, seem to have hit the pinnacle very quickly... 1m+/month income, 2m prestige, 3m influence, all my male characters have been consuls multiple times ... what`s left to do?"

DESCRIPTION
Citizen of Rome - Dynasty Ascendant is a multi-generational family/Dynasty life sim set in the Ancient Roman Republic.
You get to see how life was in the Ancient Republic, participate in their various customs, festivals and Ludi / sporting competitions, while raising a family and moving up in the social and economic hierarchy of Rome.
You can educate your children, marry them off, sponsor their elections and much more. You`ll usually play as the eldest of your sons once your character dies.
The game is open-ended without a set endgame just like in real life, but a grand goal for any ambitious Roman family was to land a Consulship of the republic. This could be your goal in the game as well, climbing the Cursus Honorum and becoming a ``New Man`` - ``Novus Homo``
WARNING: The game just like fate will beat you down from time to time and you might find all that you worked for being taken away from you in an instant, but the way things are set up you`ll almost certainly end up growing wealthy and reach the Senatorial class at some point despite various setbacks. There is no game-over and life goes on no matter what
A core philosophy of the game is that just like in real life, there`s no winning or losing, just experiencing life and having fun at it no matter where it takes you. The game should be fun in its own way at every level, no matter if you`re a prole or a senator, but with things just playing differently and with different goals and challenges
