"One of the least usable apps I`ve ever encountered. Specific gripes: - Incredibly unresponsive menuing - Sideways swipes have less priority that vertical scrolling, so performing any sideways actions is very difficult - Changing screens is very slow, and doesn`t ever improve - Gym maps are slow, icons on the map overlap and often do not respond to touch - Generally pushy with premium ads, and due to unresponsive menuing it becomes even more noticable"

"Kaya was super helpful on our recent trip to Joe`s Valley! Navigating climbing areas can take so much time with a guidebook, but they had clear maps as well as route and approach descriptions that made things so much easier. Easy to use. The offline and beta video features are my fav"

"Interface is so awful. In order to view my gyms routes I need to go through so man screens. A gym just open when I add a gym to my menu"

"Very unintuitive UX: not clear how to navigate and complete most basic tasks like logging a climb for a particular competition. Unstable: it took more than a dozen times to log a climb as the app kept crashing. Truly awful experience."

"I love the idea of this app and like to use it to keep track of my climbs. I also really like how up to date it is, always knowing when new climbs are available at my gyms. Unfortunately, the app is hard to navigate, and the maps of the climbing areas take a while to load and find the right climbs you are looking for. I also was told beta would be available but only really if people post. Looking forward to seeing the app grow!"

"There`s a lot of potential here but the app is so buggy and awkward to use. Way to many clicks to do certain things. Sometimes my touches and swipes don`t register. The UI is just weird to navigate. Sometimes when I`m watching beta videos the video just freezes and restarts. At the moment all it`s useful for for me is checking to see when new climbs get set at my gym."

"Too slow to the point of being completely non useable. Shame I`m forced to use this by my gym if I want to know the grades of the climbs."

"While this app was pretty useful for a recent comp I participated in, it really needs a total overhaul. The icons and layout are really not intuitive, like why do I need to click through multiple menus to get to the comp at my gym, but then go back out of those to see messages from my friends? Same goes for loading my home gym every time I open the app. A drop down menu on one side with access to all the key parts of the app would be much better. Overall good concept, but needs lots of UI work."

"Great app, but also encountering a bug where different sections of the gym don`t repopulate with new routes whenever they get reset. I`ve had to reinstall the app to get it to work again."

"They actually spent development times to put free features behind a pay wall. Why would I pay money to a company that will only spend it on restricting the app more rather than, I don`t know, building better features? Paying for the app when it was so clunky was already questionable, but now it`s completely out of the question."

"The free version has removed attempt tracking which was the main purpose of using it for me. Interface has gotten even more buggy and slow - I am not inclined to pay for an app that doesn`t work properly."

"Hi! I am a very new climber, just started end of April. I started using the Kaya app to track my sessions pretty much as soon as I started, on my second session. It has been helpful to log my progress, keep notes about auxiliary training I had done before or after a session, and most recently participate in a community challenge. Uploading videos can be slightly tedious, but taking all the videos of my climbs for the challenge helped me identify patterns of movement that are holding me back."

"Installed because my gym said I could rate routes on this then immediately got rid of it. There is way too much going on and it is all badly organized. An the designers seem to be pushing hard for this to be the instagram of climbing or some kind a Strava remake but the result is just a bad confusion of poorly designed things that dont work together. There is so much promise if the app developers could focus on a single objective and provide a simple GUI but sadly that has not happened here."
