When getting a new phone, you can restore history from a backup if you made one -- but only if your new phone has the same operating system (Android or iOS) as the old one. Other devices can be linked to your primary device, but can`t access message history, and get disconnected if you change devices. it`s just arduous and annoying when I`d rather I could just log in anywhere."
