"Used this app for a year with 5 runs per week as and rarely missed one (average runs per week was 4.71). Conclusion: THIS APP DOES NOT WORK. The training with the app made me slower and more prone to injury. VO2max went down from 58 to 53. The ``ML`` algorithm seems to be quite erratic: slight changes in the training schedule (run duration reduced from 70 to 60 mins) results in a completely insane change of the plan (instead of 26k long run, it`s 7k eco run). Use another app, this doesn`t work."

"Trainasone works differently (better) than other running apps I have used. I am glad I gave it a try and have now upgraded to the paid version. It integrates very well with my Garmin watch (Forerunner 235) loading runs for the next few days onto my watch seamlessly and then downloading the results for analysis at the end of each run. I`m a senior category runner 60+. I have been using this app for nearly 2 years now. I particularly like the flexibility of the AI compared to other running programs I have tried, if I miss a run (or try to hard) it adjusts the running schedule automatically. This has make it much easier to stick with the program. It feels a little light in the runs, but as a result I have been injury free over the last 2 years and running consistently so I guess it is getting it right. Normally I would expect an injury every 6-12 months because I pushed myself too hard! The app uses a traffic light system (red/amber/green) to grade completed runs. This shows how well I have followed the planned run which I have found surprisingly effective to prevent me working too hard or too soft in the run. It has been really useful keeping me going with Park Run off the table at the moment. The Trainasone team have been responsive to user feedback in developing their app."

It has no reasonable in-between stage for going from low-speed low-mileage to higher-speed higher-mileage. "TrainAsOne itself works really well, I really appreciate an adaptive training plan, it`s managed to push me better than any pre-set plans have. The app... it doesn`t connect to Bluetooth HRMs so you`ll still have Strava or something else running. No Wear OS support but practically no one has that. Live pace is based on the whole segment so if it`s longer (say 15 minutes or more), it can become pretty useless for feedback."
